Great tasting ice doesn't just make itself. In order to keep your ice tasting fresh you need to clean your ice bin regularly and change the water filter according to its maintenance schedule. Many ice makers have inline filters, however you can also add external water filters, just make sure that the filter system you choose is compatible with your machine and the amount of ice it outputs.
